Willis P Garcia

Willis P. Garcia, 69 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky passed away on June 1, 2018 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born in Puerto Rico on April 13, 1949 the son of the late Aguedo and Rosario Hernandez Garcia.  Widower of the late Leona Bryant Garcia. He worked as a carpenter and roofer for Gilreath Roofing. Willis was an avid sportsman who enjoyed soccer, wrestling and baseball but his favorite time was spent with his grandchildren.

His parents; his wife, and a brother Nando Garcia precede him in death.

Survivors include his children: Tim Garcia, Steven Garcia and his finance Rhonda and daughter, Barbara Garcia and companion Jerry Genoe all of Whitley City, Kentucky, brother, Joey Garcia and sister Cookie Garcia of California. Grandchildren, Jason Garcia, Justin Garcia, Jacob Genoe, Jordan Garcia, Tiara Watters, Britany Garcia, Desirae Garcia, Christopher Morgan and one great-grand daughter, Olivia Morgan.

Services will be held in the Chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Scotty Corder and Bro. Jason Kates officiating on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm, with burial to follow at the New Liberty Cemetery in Bear Wallow.  Family will receive friends after 6:00 pm, Monday at the Funeral Home. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
