Warren Mahan Perry, age 62 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died October 16, 2012 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11am in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev, Braxton King officiating. Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery.
He was born in Honeybee, Kentucky on January 21, 1950 the son of the late Willie Walter and Addie Mae (Higginbotham) Perry. He was a cooking instructor for the US Forest Service and of the Baptist Fatih.
His parents; brother, Roger Perry; and sister, Violet Gerline Perry precede him death.
Survivors include his wife, Doretha Perry of Pine Knot, Kentucky; son, Michael Perry of Seattle, Washington; daughters, Anna Smith of Symrna, Tennessee and Nina Dobbs and husband, Darrel of Stearns, Kentucky; brothers, Charles Perry of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jim Perry of Sidney, Ohio, Thomas Perry, John Perry and Clinton Paul Perry all of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; and sisters, Ina Branscum of Sidney, Ohio and Joyce Hawk of Ceres, Virginia. Grandchildren, Aaron Griffis, Ryan Griffis, Byron Griffis, William Smith, and Jacob Smith and great grandchildren, Aiden Griffis and Faith Phelps also survive.
