Wanda Hamblin, age 78 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed away on November 3, 2011 in Sarasota, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Hamblin, two brothers, Jim Meadows and Bud Meadows. Wanda is survived by her mother, Beulah Meadows of Pine Knot, Kentucky, son, Scott Hamblin and wife, Shannon, of Sarasota, Florida, son, Tony Hamblin and wife, Sandra, of Orlando, Florida, sister, Glenna Watters of Pine Knot, Kentucky, brother Lemual Meadows and wife, Joan, of Winfield, Tennessee, sister-in-law, Eula Meadows of Oneida, Tennessee, and three special children to her, Devin Rose, Grant Stevens, and Ava Stevens of Pine Knot, Kentucky.
Wanda was a devoted wife and wonderful loving mother.
After her father, Roscoe Meadows, passed in 1994, she cared for her mother, Beulah, up until the day she died. For the past fourteen years, sheâs lived with her sister, Glenna and mother Beulah in Pine Knot, Kentucky. Cooking was Wandaâs talent and passion. She loved being in the kitchen and welcomed everyone to her dinner table. She was always kind, wearing a contagious smile, and constantly saying things that made those around her laugh.
She has touched the lived of so many and will be greatly missed. If you had the pleasure of knowing her, you were truly blessed.

Memorial services were held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 3:00 pm at the McCreary County Funeral Home.
