VIRGINIA YANCEY

Virginia Yancey, age 71 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died December 8, 2010 at her home. Funeral services were held Friday December 10, 2010 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Dixon and Bro. Scott Yancey officiating. Burial was in the Harrison Morrow Cemetery. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AFTER 6PM THURSDAY DECEMBER 9, 2010 AT THE FUNERAL HOME. She was born September 5, 1939 in Greenwood, Kentucky the daughter of the late Elmer and Esster Lona (Young) Howard. She was a beautician and a member of the Whitley City Church of God, McCreary County Art Club, and the Red Hat Society. Her parents, husband Clifford Yancey, son Clellan Yancey, brother Jason Howard, and sister Mary Lou Davis precede her in death. Survivors include her son Clayton Yancey and wife Sheila of Wiborg, Kentucky, brothers Boyd Howard of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Eddie Howard and Jerry Howard both of Whitley City, Kentucky, and sister Judy Ground of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Four grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
