VIOLA STEELE

Viola Vanover Steele, age 86 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died May 11, 2013 at the Beech Tree Manor in Jellico, Tennessee.  Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Dickie Rogers and Bro. Douglas Patrick officiating.  Burial was in the Steele-Bundy Cemetery.

She was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on September 2, 1926 the daughter of the late Ancil and Lula (Perry) Vanover.  She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.

Her parents; and husband, Joe Steele precede her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Billy Steele of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Johnny of Burkesville, Kentucky, Robert Steele of Indiana, Melvin Steele of Whitley City, Kentucky, Ralph Steele and Leroy Roberts both of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; daughters, Joanne Perry of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Betty Shoemaker and Susie Shoemaker  both of Indiana, and Mary Helen Ray and Faye Newton both Campbellsville, Kentucky; brothers, Paul Vanover of Virginia and Lloyd Vanover of Blackstar, Kentucky; and sister, Ovada Cox of Ohio.  30 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, and 40 great great grandchildren also survive.
