VINA RAMSEY

Vina Ramsey, age 86 years, of Corbin, Kentucky formerly of the Smithtown Community died October 25, 2010 in Corbin, Kentucky at the Baptist Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Tuesday November 2, 2010 at 1pm at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie King officiating. Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery. VISITATION FROM NOON UNTIL FUNERAL TIME. She was born in Yamacraw, Kentucky on August 5, 1924 the daughter of the late Parker and Ollie Florence (Tucker) Slaven. She was a retired assembly line worker for RCA. Her parents, husband Clarence Ramsey, and brother Nathan Slaven precede her in death. Survivors include her daughter Ruth Ann Schmiedeker of Bluffton, South Carolina, brothers Parker Slaven of Cincinnati, Ohio, Roger Slaven of Stearns, Kentucky and Leland Slaven of Whitley City, Kentucky, and sisters Gloria Hughes Muncie, Indiana, Wanda Lawrence of Cincinnati, Ohio, Cedith Ford of Corbin, Kentucky, Katherine Crabtree of Cincinnati, Ohio Thressa Dolen and Patricia King both of Stearns, Kentucky. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
