Verna Lee Cobb, age 83 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died May 6, 2013 at her home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at McCreary County Funeral Home at 7pm with Rev. William Kilby officiating. Entombment will be in the Lominac Creekside Cemetery with private family services on a later date.
She was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on January 17, 1930 the daughter of the late Silas and Victoria (Watts) Banks. She was an inspector at Texas Instruments.
Her parents; and 16 brothers and sisters precede her in death.
Survivors include her son Larry Dixon (Carol) of Monrovia, Indiana; daughters, Joni S. Carson (Bruce) of Stearns, Kentucky, Arnetta Jane Larson (Dennis) of Lancaster, Kentucky, and Janine Cobb of Nicholasville, Kentucky. Grandchildren, Melinda, Samantha, Tracy, Cara, Chris, Amanda, and Coty; great grandchildren, David, Monica, Trenton, Alex, Jordan, Carson, Tori, Emily, Conner, and William; 5 great great grandchildren; and numerous beloved friends, nieces, and nephews also survive.
