Sue Ann Helton Lawson age 66 years of Whitley City, Kentucky died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Oneida, Tennessee. Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Braxton King officiating. Burial followed in the Methodist cemetery.
She was born on May 22, 1945 in Whitley City, Kentucky to Kenneth E. Helton and Mildred E. Strunk Helton.
Her father, mother, son, William Collin Lawson, and sister, Cassandra Helton precedes her in death.
Survivors include her son, Shawn Carlin Lawson of Stearns, Kentucky and grandchildren, Colby, Christopher Tyler, Kashae, Jeremiah, and Joshua Lawson; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Larry Helton and wife, Ruth, their daughter Stephanie Eichenlaub and her children, Megan, Michael and Derek, and their son, Kevin Helton and wife, Brandy, and their children; a sister, Donna Helton Prater and her husband, Charles, their daughter, Heather Cearbaugh and husband, Derrick, and children, Dawson, Haylee, and Hadlee; a daughter, Cheryl Richey and husband, Ryan, and their children, Trinity and Landon; son, Matthew Prater and wife, Casey, and their children, Cooper and Madeline; daughter, Amanda Sullivan-Doyle and husband, Chase. Sue is also survived by her cousins, Lila Knight Rose, Thomasena Knight Baker, Patricia Knight Winchester and husband, Herman, and their loving children and grandchildren, as well as many other cousins, family and friends.
She will be greatly missed beyond words.
