Shawn Carlin Lawson

Shawn Carlin Lawson, age 47, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed unexpectedly from this life on Friday, January 13,  2017, at his home in Stearns Kentucky. 

He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on January 11, 1970, to the late Carl Lawson and Sue Ann Helton.

He is survived by his two sons: Jeremiah Chase Lawson and Joshua Carlin Lawson of Stearns, Kentucky.  Two sisters: Carla Lawson of Lore, Ohio and Ruby Kosco of Zanesville, Ohio.  Also survived by a special aunt Donna Helton Prater, several additional aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brother: Collin Lawson.

Shawn loved spending time with his family, especially his two sons, who were his whole world, he was an excellent father. He enjoyed taking them to the river, 4-wheel riding and just spending time outdoors with them.  He also enjoyed working around home and shooting pool.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services are Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home with visitation Saturday morning at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in the Methodist Cemetery.
