Shannon Jones

Shannon Jones, age 54 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Saturday August 26, 2023, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on September 26, 1968, the daughter of Barkley and Jennette (Perry) Jones. She was a machine operator at OVC and a member of the Marshes Siding Church of God. Shannon enjoyed being outdoors, cross stitching, her family, and being a caretaker. Shannon especially loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Her father precedes her in death.

Survivors include her mother, Jennett Jones of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughters, Cortney Chaney (Greg) of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Abigail Kemp (Tyler) of Columbia, Kentucky, and Olivia Meece (Kenny) of Somerset, Kentucky; brother, Greg Jones (Cindy) of Somerset, Kentucky; special sister, Rachel Barnett of Stearns, Kentucky; aunt who was very special to her, Wallena Hinkle (Ray) of Whitley City, Kentucky; and grandchildren, Faith Phelps, Aiden Griffis, Colson Chaney, Kayden Kemp. Theo Kemp. And Zachary Chaney.

In keeping with her wishes cremation was chosen.
