Scotty James Watson

Scotty James Watson, age 35, of Stearns, Kentucky died on Saturday, May 23, 2020.

He was born July 3, 1984 in Somerset, Kentucky the son of James Paul and Susan Faye (Morgan) Watson. Scotty was of the Baptist faith, and was employed as a machine operator for Somerset Hardwoods.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeler riding and gardening.

He is preceded in death by his father; the mother of his daughter, Veronica McCoy; brother-in-law, Jonathan Yancey; and a nephew Devin James Lovitt.

He is survived by his mother, Susan Watson; a daughter, Stormy Watson; and sisters, Becky Yancey, and April Lovitt and husband, Mark all of Stearns; nieces and nephews, Amber, Jonny, Allison, and Dawson Yancey, Marissa Perry, and Madison Lovitt; and step-children, Kevin, Seth, Logan, and Payton Good.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 2pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. David Troxell and Bro. Johnny Corder officiating. Burial follow in the Barren Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Thursday at the funeral home.
