Samuel Joseph Anderson Sr, 54, of Dayton, passed away on January 8, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born on December 13, 1959 in Strunk, KY to the late Luke and Clossie (Ball) Anderson.
Sam worked as a General Contractor for Gem City Home Improvement for 23 years. He was a member of the Huber Heights Masonic Lodge #777 and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton and also the Antioch Shrine of Dayton.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Jackie Dean Carr, Ronald Carr, Larry Anderson, Cosby Anderson.
Samuel is survived by his loving children, Samuel Anderson Jr, Crystal (Jodie) Anderson-Johnston, Ashley Anderson, Johnathan Anderson; grandchildren, Evan Anderson, Uryah Hale, Maelee Anderson;
brothers and sisters, Donnie Carr, Linda Neal, Johnny Anderson, Lesa Anderson, Velva Issac, Vivian Scharf, Milford Anderson, Ray Carr; numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio.
Graveside services will be held at 3 PM, Wednesday January 15, 2014 at the Anderson Family Cemetery in McCreary County, KY.
