Russell Leon Ridner

Russell Leon Ridner passed from this life on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the North Tennova Hospital in Knoxville, TN, being 45 years old. He was born in Somerset, KY, on January 12, 1971 to Jimmy Lendle Ridner, and the late Judy Rose.

Surviving family includes:his father, Lendle "Jimmy" Ridner of Whitley City, a godson: Simeon Garland, sisters: Gail Sexton and husband Joe of Chatsworth, GA, Amanda Stephens and husband Allen of Pine Knot, KY, Jenny Ridner of Stearns, KY, special uncle: David and wife Barb Rose,  nephews: Cameron Ridner, Allen Stephens, Dylan Sexton,  nieces: Kaylee Crabtree, Cynthia Crabtree, one great niece: Ambreona West,  step-mother: Betty Ridner, step-sisters: Ann and husband Randy Swain of Whitley City, KY, Windy and Anthony Slavey of Pine Knot, KY, lifelong best friend: Elizabeth Mansfield of Oneida, TN and her children: Windy, Cortney, and Corey.

Preceded in death by his mother Judy Rose.

Russell was a member of the Davis Hill Church of God. He was such a wonderful person to be around, he treasured everyone and loved his family dearly. He had the most contagious laugh, and heart of gold. He loved to be in charge and enjoyed watching horses graze. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services: Monday, January 2, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Keith officiating, and special singing by the Keith and Whitehead family.

Visitation: Monday, January 2, 2017 from 1:00- 3:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial: Holloway Cemetery.
