RUFUS F. WILSON

Rufus F. Wilson, age 78 years, of Frankfort, Kentucky formerly of McCreary County, Kentucky died September 28, 2010 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Saturday October 2, 2010 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Deaver officiating. Burial was in the Higginbotham Cemetery. VISITATION FROM 6PM-8PM FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2010 AT THE FUNERAL HOME. He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on May11, 1932 the son of the late McKinley and Hallie (Vanover) Wilson. He was a retired tool and die maker for AWP and a member of the American Legion Post #7. His parents, brothers Junior Wilson, Lowell Wilson, Dewey Wilson, Paul Wilson, And Eugene Wilson, and sisters Mabel Smith, Ruby Coffey, Lois Wilson, Joyce Strunk, Etta Wilson, and Dora Alice Wilson precede him in death. Survivors include his wife Merandy (Perry) Wilson of Frankfort, Kentucky, son Darryl Wilson of Barbourville, Kentucky, daughter Sheila Royster of Frankfort, Kentucky, brothers Ronnie Wilson of Fairfield, Ohio and Randall Wilson of Norwood, Ohio, and sister Dessel Childers of Corbin, Kentucky. Four grandchildren and one great grandchild also survives. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
