Ruby J. Prewitt

Ruby J. Prewitt, age 73 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Thursday, November 28, 2024 at her home.

She was born in Pike County, Kentucky on September 21, 1951 the daughter of the late James Fred and Reba (Rose) Branham. Ruby had worked for Campbell Soup Company and enjoyed hiking, quilting and gardening.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Freddy Branham and Ray Branham; and sister, Lanora Branham.

Survivors include her husband Ernest Edward Prewitt of Whitley City, Kentucky; a son, James Prewitt (Pinky) of Whitley City, Kentucky; a daughter, Andrea Young (Jeff) of Livona, Michigan; brothers, Gregory Branham and David Branham both of Belmont, Mississippi; sisters, Shirley McGee of Belmont, Mississippi, Rose Ray of Jasper, Alabama, and Janet Scott of Franklin, Missouri; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

In keeping with her wish’s cremation was chosen, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
