RUBIE STEPHENS

Rubie Stephens, age 95 years, of Revelo, Kentucky died October 29, 2012 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.  Funeral services were held Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel Vaughn and Rev. Robert Gilreath officiating.  Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery.

She was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on October 16, 1917 the daughter of the late George and Rosie (Strunk) Bryant.  She was a homemaker and member of the Bethel Baptist Church.

Her parents; husband, Earl Joe Stephens; son, Estil Stephens; daughter, Anna King; brother, Eddie Roscoe Bryant; sisters, Anna Cooper, Eva Gilreath, Lizzie Davenport, and Aileen Ball; and 4 grandchildren precede her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Darris Stephens and Henry Stephens both of Indianapolis, Indiana, Darrell Stephens of Columbus, Indiana, Earl Stephens, Jr. of Revelo, Kentucky, Melvin Stephens of Indianapolis, Indiana, Johnny Stephens of Maryville, Tennessee, Mitchell Stephens, Jackie Stephens, Lester Stephens, Eddie Stephens, and Curtis Stephens all of Revelo, Kentucky; daughters, Edna Stephens of Revelo, Kentucky and Rosie Meece of Somerset, Kentucky; and sisters, Nannie Ross of Revelo, Kentucky and Georgia Moore of Tennessee.  47 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren, 31 great great grandchildren, and 1 great great great grandchild also survive.
