Roy Lee Watson

Roy Lee Watson, age 59 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Sunday, April 14, 2019 at his home.

He was born in Marshes Siding, Kentucky on July 1, 1959 the son of Elbert and Nannie (Worley) Watson. Roy had worked in the saw mill, had attended Dixie Freedom Baptist Church, loved the outdoors and his family.

His parents; brothers, Delmer “Pete” Watson, Lloyd “Don” Watson, Norman Henry Watson, James Paul Watson, and David W. Watson; and sisters, Evelyn Otten, Mary Daugherty, Wilma Jean Allen, Barbara Sue Vanover, and Nancy Ann Watson precede him in death.

Survivors include his son, Dustin Watson and wife, Lekresha of Whitley City; brothers, Roger Watson and Gorman Watson both of Marshes Siding; sister, Debra Stephens of Marshes Siding; and grandson, Dustin Tyler Dee Watson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Corder and Bro. Scotty Corder officiating. Burial to follow in the Barren Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Thursday at the funeral home.
