Rose Lee Canada

Rose Lee Canada, age 74 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born in Stearns, Kentucky on March 7, 1949 the daughter of Everett and Ruth (King) Taylor. Rose had worked as a CNA in the Cumberland Manor and volunteer for the McCreary County Christian Care Center. She was a member of the Sanders Creek Church of God, was an avid fisher and camper, but her greatest joy was being with her family and friends.

Her parents; a son, Donnie Ray Canada; brother, Arnold E. Taylor; and sisters, Betty Morrison, Jody Taylor, Jewell Strunk, Wilda Worley, and Janice Bryant precede her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Eugene “Dude” Canada of Whitley City, Kentucky; son, Robert Canada (Debra) of Corbin, Kentucky and Greg Canada (Regina) of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughter, Pamela Canada (Dave) of Burnside, Kentucky; brother, Ron Taylor of London, Kentucky; sister, Doris Crabtree of Whitley City, Kentucky; grandchildren, Brian Clark (Tiffany), Brittney Hodge (Dock), Jusitn Canada (Jessica), Natasha Lopez (Mario), Anjelicia Ridener (Keith), Kenisha Evans (Mitch), Coleman Canada, Dalton Canada (Nicole) , Shaina Canada, Tarah Musgrove (Lorne), Taylor Davis (Dakota), and Tristan Canada; 20 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Friday, February 23, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Meadors officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
