Ronald J. Perry, age 70 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died May 17, 2012 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional. Funeral services were held Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 2pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Honeycutt and Rev. Bill Patrick officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Knob Cemetery.
He was born in Honeybee, Kentucky on March 13, 1942 the son of the late Ira and Edna (Walker) Perry. He was a retired truck driver from Super Service and a member of the Pleasant Knob Baptist Church.
His parents; his half brothers, Jack Perry, Morgan Perry, and Vola Perry; and his half sisters, Lola Perry, Nadle Warman, and Alice Perry, and also parents of the heart, Willard and Rosemary Shelton; precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years Joyce (Worley) Perry of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughter, Debbie Kizito and husband Stevens of London, Kentucky; brothers, Arthur Walker of Gibsonburg, Ohio, Ray Perry of Indianapolis, Indiana, Wayne Perry of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, and Mike Perry of Eubank, Kentucky; sisters, Wendell Lawson of Tiffin, Ohio, Oneeda New and Ruth Wheeler both of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, and brothers of the heart, Randy Shelton of Oneida, Tennessee and Robert Shelton of Parkers Lake, Kentucky. Granddaughter, Lauren Kizito; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
