Ronald Godsey, age 63 years, of Winfield, Tennessee, husband of Sherri Godsey, died Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Park West Medical Center.
Ronald was born in Oneida, Tennessee on February 25, 1957, the son of the late Goldman and Lillie Coffey Godsey. He was a self-employed carpenter and machinist. Ronald was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church. He was a prankster who enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, but his greatest joy was his family.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his brothers; Edward Godsey, Melvin and wife Carolyn Godsey and an infant brother; Willard Godsey, sisters; Leona Dixon, Melva Ross and an infant sister; Stella Godsey, father-in-law; Robert Hasten, brother-in-law; Oliver Bryan Duncan, Donald Ross, Eugene Dixon, William Stephens and Rev. Albert Clark.
Survivors include the love of his life, his wife Sherri of 33 years, daughter; Brittany Godsey and fiancé, Eric Rose of Lafayette, TN., son; Brennan Godsey of GA., brother; Arnold and wife Janice Godsey of Whitley City, sisters; Linda Stephens of Flatrock, KY., Della West of Glen Mary, TN., Velva Dean Clark of Muncie, IN., mother-in-law; Wanda Stephens of Winfield, TN., sister-in-law; Charlene Godsey of Stearns, KY., Crystal and husband Shelton Bertram of Robbins, TN., Shelley Duncan of Winfield, TN., brother-in-law; Anthony and wife Michelle Stephens of Winfield, TN., and several special nieces and nephews, he loved as his own children.
Funeral services for Ronald are 1:00 PM on Monday, January 25, 2021 in the Chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home with Pastor David Chambers and brother William Chambers officiating. Music will be provided by the Pioneer Baptist Church choir and Israel Clark. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service with burial to follow in the Mt. View Cemetery.
