ROBERT EDD SMITH

Robert Edd Smith, age 67 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died October 16, 2010 at his home. Funeral services were held Tuesday October 19, 2010 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Cook and Rev. Tom Sellers officiating. Burial was in the Privett Cemetery. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AFTER 6PM MONDAY OCTOBER 18, 2010 AT THE FUNERAL HOME. He was born in Revelo, Kentucky on February 27, 1943 the son of the late Robert and Nora Belle (Sumner) Smith. He was a retired tree surgeon and attended the Beulah Heights Church of God. His parents, brothers Walter Smith, Clyde Smith, and Buddy Smith, and sisters Geneva Dawson, Ella Watson, Effie Marshall, and Clessie Crabtree precede him in death. Survivors include hi wife Joyce (Lewis) Smith, sons Edgar Ralph of Washington, Indiana, Carroll Ray of Revelo, Kentucky, Mance Randall and Danny Rex both of Indianapolis, Indiana, Stevie Robert of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and Gary Wayne of Pine Knot, Kentucky, daughters Lena Rosie of Somerset, Kentucky and Lanta Sue of Oneida, Tennessee, and sisters Estelle Davis of Georgia and Mildred Bishop of Ohio. 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren also survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
