Robert Evert Phillips

Rev. Robert E. Phillips age 84, the husband of Violet E. (Keith) Phillips of Whitley City, Kentucky passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 at his home. Funeral services were held Friday, September 16, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Day Ridge Church of God with Rev. Allen Phillips, Asst. Pastor Rodrick Foster, and Rev. Josh Stephens officiating. Burial followed in the Keith Morrow Cemetery.

He was born February 28, 1927 in Monticello, Kentucky to Elisha Phillips and Angie (New) Phillips. Robert was the Reverend of the Day Ridge Church of God and was formerly a School Bus Driver.

His father, mother, a daughter, Joyce Phillips, brothers, Herman, Thomas, Cecil, and Ernie Phillips, 2 granddaughters, Tracey and Sharlene Phillips, a great-granddaughter, Samantha Hawkins, and son-in-law, Vernon Wayne Cash precede him in his death.  

Survivors include his wife, Violet Phillips of Whitley City, Kentucky; sons, Don Phillips, Ronnie Phillips, and Dean Phillips, all of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughters, Wanda Koger of Stearns, Kentucky, and Sheila Cash of Whitley City, Kentucky; a brother, Clyde Phillips of Bloomington, Indiana; sisters, Dorothy Phillips of Coolitic, Indiana, Mary Jane Kidd of Bedford, Indiana, and Caroline Phillips also of Bedford, Indiana. 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive.
