Robert Edward Abney

Robert Edward Abney, Jr., age 76 years, Marhses Siding, Kentucky died August 21, 2008.  Graveside servies were held Monday, August 25, 2008 at Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville, IN with Bro. Allen Smithson officiating.  He was born at Jeffersonville, IN on Februrary 18, 1932 the sone of the late Robert Edward and Mary Jennings Haworth Abney. He was a stell worker and Church of God faith.  He served in the US Navy and was a member of V.F.W.  His parents and a sister, Evelyn Abney proceed him in death.  Survivors include his daughters Deborah S. Smithson, Marshes Siding, Kentucky; Vickie R. Carden and Roberts Ironmonger, Nicholasville, Kentucky.  Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren survive.  McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
