Miller, Rebecca Sharon - Age 71 of Knoxville embraced the Lord and took his hand, Monday, February 10, 2025. Heaven is rejoicing at the arrival of our dear sister in Christ. All who loved her take comfort in knowing Sharon is now reunited with her daughter, Shannon, who preceded her in death and welcomed her with open arms at the gates of Heaven.
Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and “Mammi” to all. Her greatest joy in life was caring for others, especially her family. She had a special love for her husband Deloy, known affectionally as “Poppi”, and took immense pride in raising her grandchildren, Alec and Raquel. To know Mammi was to love her, and to feel her unconditional love in return.
Deeply involved in her community, Sharon was an active member of First Baptist Church of Oneida. She served on the city council for many years, was the organizer and master of ceremonies for the Fairest of the Fair, and a talented hair dresser and salon owner.
When Knoxville became her home, she was an active member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church and later attended Sevier Heights Baptist Church. She actively participated, loved, and supported all things important to her grandchildren. Sharon shared her unwavering faith, love and trust in God with everyone she met.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Shannon Boruff; parents, Porter and Freda Watters of Kentucky. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Deloy Miller; her precious grandchildren Alec Boruff and his wife, Casey Boruff; Raquel Boruff and her fiancé, Allan Biven; Chase Boruff and his wife, Katie Boruff; and their son Barrett Boruff. She is also survived by her stepdaughters Celina Houston and her husband, Noah Houston, and Deangela Hurst and her husband, Phillip Hurst.
Although we grieve her passing, our sorrow is softened by the confidence of knowing that she has been greeted by our Heavenly Father with “Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant.” A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday at Sevier Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Miller officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at Sevier Heights prior to service. Burial service to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Todd Lightholder, Wallin Myers, Travis Wyrick, Robby Collier, Russell Biven, Jackson Higley, and Parker Brown. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to National Scleroderma Foundation (https://national.scleroderma.org)
