REASE JONES

Rease Jones, age 95 years of Stearns, Kentucky died January 20, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held January 24, 2010 at 12 Noon in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Rufus Hughes and Bro. David Vaughn officiating. Burial was in the Phillips Cemetery. He was born in Slavans, Kentucky on May 15, 1914 the son of the late Rich and Elsie Gregory Jones. He was a coal miner for the Stearns Coal And Lumber Company for forty-three years and a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. His parents, first wife Emma Phillips Jones whom he married January 18, 1933, children Darrell Jones, Ina Matthews, Alma Lee Jones, and Raymond Jones, brothers Clifford Jones, Homer Jones, Willie Jones, Oscar Jones, and Cecil Jones, and a sister Dorothy Dennis precedes him in death. Survivors include his second wife Dean Conatser Jones, sons Leamon Jones, Doyle Jones, and Gary Jones all of Stearns, Kentucky, Lonnie Jones of Albany, Kentucky, Bronnie Jones and Denzil Jones both of Monticello, Kentucky, daughters Eva Maxwell, Addie Watson both of Stearns, Kentucky, Lena Whittington and Linda Mullins both of Nashville, Tennessee, Netty Thomas of Georgia, and Alline Branscum of Monticello, Kentucky, brothers Austin Jones, Ray Jones, and Charlie Jones of Monticello, Kentucky, and a sister Jeannie Dobbs of Stearns, Kentucky. Thirty-six grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren also survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
