Raymond “Cub” Noel Ball, age 88 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at his home.
He was born in Worley, Kentucky on September 7, 1933 the son of Arnold “Bear” and Geneva (Pulliam) Ball. Cub had worked as a coal miner, was a deacon of the First Hickory Grove Baptist Church, a member of Orie S. Ware Masonic Lodge #874, Laurel Heights Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #288, and Scottish Rite Valley of Covington.
His parents; wife, Anna Louise (Ramsey) Ball; son, Danny Ball; sister, Doris Barrett; and grandson, Shawn Ball and Raymond King precede him in death.
Survivors include his sons, Michael Ball of Stearns, Kentucky, David Ball (Janice) of Whitley City, Kentucky, James Ball (Gerald) of Stearns, Kentucky and Allen Ball of Williamsburg, Kentucky; brothers, Billy Ball of Burlington, Kentucky, Bobby Ball of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dean Ball of Mexia, Texas, and Jimmy Ball Burlington, Kentucky; sisters, Wanda Hensley of Burlington, Jean Hayes of Burlington, and Beulah McCarter of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Christopher, Brittany, Brooklyn, Danny Lee, Bobby, Brian, Pam, Bridgette and Crystal; numerous great grandchildren; and companion and friend for 20 years, Brenda Lewis.
Funeral services will be held 1pm Friday, September 24, 2021 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie King officaiting. Burial will follow in the Stearns Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Friday at the Funeral Home. Eastern Star and Masonic Services will start at 12:30 pm Friday.
