Raymond "Buddy Boy" Junior Griffis

Raymond “Buddy Boy” Junior Griffis, age 80 years, of Stearns, Kentucky, died Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born in Oneida, Tennessee on July 23, 1940 the son of Raymond and Geneva (Worley) Griffis. Buddy had worked in the stock room for American Standard Plumbing.
His parents; sisters, Linda (Griffis) Hollingsworth and Patricia Griffis; daughter, Melissa Bowling; and son, Rick Griffis precede him in death.
Survivors include his long time companion, Kathy Cooper of Stearns, Kentucky; sons, Tim Griffis (Pam) of Stearns, Kentucky, Raymond Griffis and David Griffis (Sherry) both of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, Curtis Griffis (Jeanna) of Somerset, Kentucky, and Dale Griffis (Crystal) of Pine Knot, Kentucky; daughters, Lesley Terry (Bill) of Whitley City, Kentucky, Connie Ross (Randal) of Stearns, Kentucky, and Anna Arview (Barnard) of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother, Toby Griffis of Revelo, Kentucky; sisters, Shelby Watters of Marshes Siding, Kentucky and Rita Winchester of Smithtown, Kentucky; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1pm Friday, July 16, 2021 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Friday at the Funeral Home.
