Ray Mitchell Sumler, age 74 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died February 2, 2013 in Pine Knot, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 1 pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Dixon officiating. Burial was in the Sumler Family Cemetery.
He was born in Pine Knot, Kentucky on December 20, 1938 the son of late Willie Sumler and Nancy Stephens Sumler. He was a machinist in a factory.
His parents; wife, Mary McElfresh Sumler, and brothers, Morris Sumler and Bobby Sumler precede him in death.
Survivors include his sons, Raymond Sumler and William Sumler; daughters, Darline Smiddy and Darla King; brothers, Paul Sumler, Randall Sumler, Estes Sumler and Roland Sumler; and sisters Christine Day and Wilma McHale. Nine grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren also survive.
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
