Rev. Lawrence Randall Brown, age 65 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died September 3, 2011 at his home. Funeral services were held Wednesday September 7, 2011 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Vaughn and Rev. Wayne Inman officiating. Burial was in the Angel Cemetery.
He was born in Stearns, Kentucky on December 7, 1945 the son of the late John Lawrence and Vina Jane (Foster) Brown. He was a retired Tool and Die Maker, member of the East Appletree United Baptist Church, ordained as a minister August 4, 1978, had pastored Cherokee United Baptist Church, Second United Baptist Church, and Meadows Grove Baptist Church, and enjoyed his family but most of all Godâs work.
His parents, sisters Betty Brown and Burma Stephens, brother in laws Gene Clark and Fred Mefford, and grandson Jonathan Brown precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife Bonita âBonnie" Brown, sons Lawrence âLarryâ Randall Brown II and wife Teressa of Whitley City, Kentucky and Stewart Allen Brown and wife Vicky of Pine Knot, Kentucky, brothers and sisters Billy Brown and wife Sandra of Harriman, Tennessee, Shanda Clark of Whitley City, Kentucky, Patricia Roaden and husband Ralph of Corbin, Kentucky, Brenda Stanchfield and husband Rev. Wayne of Smithtown, Kentucky, Janet Mefford of Dayton, Ohio, Pamela Douglas and husband Don of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Tommy Brown and wife Sharon of Stearns, Kentucky, brothers in law Caleb Stephens, Jr. of Whitley City, Kentucky, father and mother in law Hoyt and Dovie Ball of Revleo, Kentucky and sister in laws Sue Wilson of Pine Knot, Kentucky and Joann Davis of Nancy, Kentucky. Grandchildren Erica Brown, Katelin Brown, Allison Brown, Kelsie Brown, Bree Lynn Brown, Charli Delaughter, Chaz Duncan, and Chadden Duncan, and great grandchildren Chaylenn Duncan and Maleki Duncan also survive.
