R. Elaine Garrett

R. Elaine Garrett, age 83 years, of Corbin, Kentucky died Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Baptist Health, Corbin, Kentucky.

She was born in Detroit, MI on May 21, 1939 the daughter of the late Piter and Alta Caauwe Abarhamse.  Elaine enjoyed cooking, collecting cookbooks and taking care of her beloved pets. She also enjoyed spending time with her special friends, Connie Patrick and Marlon Greer.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law; Robert and Karen Harvey.

Survivors include her nephews; Mark, David, Clint and Clyde Harvey.

Funeral Service for Elaine are scheduled for 7:00 PM, Monday, October 24, 2022 in the Chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 5:00 pm until time for funeral service. 

Per her wishes, cremation was chosen.
