PAUL 'JUNIOR' YANCEY

Paul “Junior” Yancey, age 53 years, of Strunk, Kentucky died July 9, 2011 at his home. Funeral services were held Tuesday July 12, 2011 at 11am in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. David Troxell officiating. Burial was in the Sexton Cemetery. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AFTER 6PM MONDAY JULY 11, 2011 AT THE FUNERAL HOME.

He was born October 30, 1957 in Perry County, Kentucky the son of the late Paul and Printy (Jeffers) Yancey. He was a coal miner and a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church.

His parents, brothers Vernon Lee and Alonzo Yancey, and sister Dorothy Yancey precede him in death.

Survivors include his wife Debbie (Hardwick) Yancey, sons Michael Yancey and wife Carrie, and Brandon Yancey all of Strunk, Kentucky, Joseph Yancey and wife Nakisha of Hyden, Kentucky, and Jamie Meece and wife Amy of Somerset, Kentucky, daughter Sherry Yancey of Strunk, Kentucky, brothers Johnny Yancey of Oneida, Tennessee, Kenneth Yancey of Revelo, Kentucky, and Dennis Yancey of Stearns, Kentucky, sisters Betty Yancey and Geneva Yancey both of Stearns, Kentucky and Martha Witzell of Clermont, Georgia. 12 grandchildren also survive.
