PARKER "PETE" GILREATH

Parker “Pete” Gilreath age 76 of Monticello, Kentucky, formerly of McCreary County, died Thursday, April 12, 2012 in Stearns, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Monday, April 16, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Miller officiating. Burial followed in the Methodist Cemetery.

He was born July 8, 1936 in Whitley City, Kentucky to Wiley Gilreath and Jessie (Owens) Gilreath. Pete was a member of the Whitley City United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Orie S. Ware Masonic Lodge #874, the Louisville Scottish Rite 32nd degree, as well as the York Rite.

His father, mother, wife, Linda (Adams) Gilreath, son, Rodney Gilreath, and brothers, Garnet and Glen Gilreath precede him in death.

He is survived by his sons, Wayne Gilreath and wife, Tammy, of Buford, Georgia, and Russell Gilreath and wife, Kim, of Georgetown, Kentucky; a sister, Francis “Pat” Taylor of Caretta, West Virginia; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
