Pairzida (Blevins) Jones, of Greensboro, North Carolina, Formally of McCreary County Kentucky departed this life August 22, 2014 being 89 years, 1 month and 2 days old at Brighton Gardens Nursing Home in Greensboro, North Carolina, She was born on July 20, 1925 Daughter of the late Maynard & Rosetta (smith) Jones.
She was married to the late James Edmond Jones. She retired from the US Government where she worked on the Manhattan project, building and developing the atomic bomb.
Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband; two brothers; Laccie Blevins and Amon Blevins.
She is survived by her daughters; Lynda Hisle of Orlando Florida and Darlene Jones of North Carolina, one sister; Irene Crane and one brother; Conley Blevins. Four Grandchildren; Rodney Hisle, Rachel Summers, Tad McFadden,Amanda Millsap, also five great grandchildren; Lexton and Royce Millsap, Jordan and Jacob Summers, and Hannah Hisle.
Graveside services were held Saturday August 30, 2014 at Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery with Rev. Eddie King Officiating.
