Ota (Granny) Richmond, age 93 years, died January 15, 2011 at St. MaryOs of Scott County in Oneida, Tennessee. Funeral services were held Tuesday January 18, 2011 at 11am in the Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Sexton officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery.Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Monday January 17, 2011 at McCreary County Funeral Home. She was born December 8, 1917 in Keavy, Kentucky the daughter of the late Bill and Margaret (Brock) Prewitt. She was a retired machine operator in the Shirt Factory and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. Her parents, husband Leamon Dewey Richmond, brothers Onel Prewitt, Lee Prewitt, Edward Prewitt, Blaine Prewitt, Van Prewitt, West Prewitt, and Oscar Prewitt, and a infant sister Deloris Prewitt precede her in death. Survivors include her daughter Brenda McMeen (Gary) of Pine Knot, Kentucky, grandchildren Leamon Perkins (Lisa) and Danielle Barlow (Bruce), great grandchildren Billy Perkins (Miranda), Bruce Perkins (Jessica), Samantha Turner (Gabriel), and Jake Moore, great great grandchildren Rebekah Perkins, Alea Moore, and Lillyanne Perkins.
