Oscar Lee Kidd

Oscar Lee Kidd, age 87 years, of the Bethel Community died Monday, October 19, 2020 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born in Bethel, Kentucky on March 30, 1933 the son of Emby and Flora (West) Kidd. Oscar was a retired truck driver and member of the Saddle Club. He enjoyed riding horses and rabbit hunting.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Lou (Anderson) Kidd; and brothers, Dillard Kidd, Edward Kidd, Charles Kidd, James Kidd, Andrew Kidd, Donald Kidd, and Everett Kidd.

Survivors include his sons, Ronald Kidd and wife, Barbara, Keith Kidd and wife, Sharon, and Kenneth Kidd and wife, Linda all of Pine Knot; daughter, Sharlet Bryant and husband, Dennis of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Alicia Kidd, Dana Kidd, Daniel Bryant, Kristy Redden, Rhonda Smith, and Mark Kidd; and a host of great and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the Pleasant Run Church with Brother Johnny Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Run Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6:00 pm Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the McCreary County Funeral Home. He will lie in state from 11:00 am until funeral service time Sunday at the Church.
