Norma Jean Hicks

Norma Jean Hicks, age 66, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, passed away Monday August 31, 2015 in Corbin, Kentucky.

Funeral service will be Thursday September 3, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Indian Creek United Baptist Church of Christ on Beulah Heights Road with Rev. Billy Patrick and Rev. Mark Perry.

Norma was born on August 27, 1949 to the late Jim and Audell (Vanover). Besides her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers James Leonard Hicks and Donald Lee Hicks and a sister Maude Alma Hicks.

Norma is survived by two brothers: Leon Hicks of Sawyer, Kentucky and Elmer Hicks and wife Elva of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, two sisters: Oshie J. (Geraldine) Hicks and Ada Wila Dean Hicks both of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, a nephew Chester Hicks and wife Emma, a niece Rebecca Wilson and husband James, a great niece Aliesha, three step great-nephews; Dalton, Tristen Dakota, and Caleb James; and two step great-nieces Meleha and Desiree Shianne, Plus a whole host of other family and friends.

Norma Jean was a member of the Indian Creek United Baptist Church of Christ. She was a cook at the Cumberland Falls State Park and even worked on the day that she was called out to go live with Jesus. Norma really enjoyed planting flowers and picking flowers along with spending time with her family.

We trust with her testimony and her walk through this life before us that our lost is her eternal gain.
