Nickie Lee Jones

Nickie Lee Jones, age 58 years, of Waynesville, Missouri died Monday, January 16, 2023 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

He was born in Marshes Siding, Kentucky on February 3, 1964 the son of Viola Jones Smith.  Nickie was of the Baptist Faith. He loved his Harley Davidson, working on coal trucks, tinkering on vehicles in his garage, fishing, and playing his guitar.

He is survived by his mother, Viola (Jones) Smith of Somerset, Kentucky; his wife, Bessie Jones, sons, James Perry and Ricky Perry both of Pine Knot, Kentucky; daughters, Cindy Bruce of Louisville, Kentucky and Rosa Simpson (Rodger) of Waynesville, Missouri; brothers, Bruce Jones of Pine Knot, Kentucky and Ricky Young (Crystal) of Tucson, Arizona; sister, Kimberly West of Monticello, Kentucky; grandchildren, Amanda Davis (Nathan), Tyler Bruce, Ethan Bruce, Aleah Bruce, Nathan Davis and Tiberius Simpson; and great grandchildren, Marley Davis and one on the way.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Monday, January 23, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Terry West officiating. Burial will follow in the Sherd Dobbs Cemetery.  The family will receive friends after 11am Monday at the Funeral Home.
