Nelda Jones

Nelda Jones of Whitley City, Kentucky, widow of Robert Larry jones departed this life on April 29, 2021 at her home.  She was the daughter of the late Lester Boyatt and Jewel Watters Boyatt. 

In addition to her parents, Nelda is preceded in death by one brother, Jim Boyatt and two sisters, June Herring and Wanda Boyatt. 

She is survived by one son, Scott Jones of Whitley City, Kentucky, four brothers, Ronald Boyatt of Michigan, Louis Boyatt of Dalton, GA., Rev. Gary Boyatt and wife Lee Etta of Huntsville, Tennessee and Brian Boyatt of Oneida, Tennessee, two sisters, Norma Jean Rubio and husband Charlie of Chicago, IL., Melba Cross of Oneida, Tennessee and a host of relatives and friends.

Nelda was a member of the Whitley City First Baptist Church, an avid reader who enjoyed her flower garden and watching UK Basketball games.

There will be a private graveside service with burial in the Angel Cemetery.
