MYRTLE STRUNK

Myrtle (Sammons) Strunk, age 77 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died January 8, 2012 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.  Funeral services were held Wednesday january 11, 2012 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Scottie Corder, Bro. Jason Kates, and Bro. Marvin Kates officiaitng.  Burial was in the Angel Cemetery.

She was born in Perry County, Kentucky on December 28, 1934 the daughter of the late Willie and Goldie (Hill) Sammons.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Solid Rock Church of God.

Her parents, husband Dewitt Strunk, and daughters Edna June Strunk and Loretta Sue Strunk precede her in death.

Survivors include her sons Billy Don Strunk and wife Rita of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Tommy Ray Strunk and wife Teresa of Stearns, Kentucky, John Andrew Strunk and wife Robin of Whitley City, Kentucky, Dewitt Strunk, Jr. and wife Sherri of Stearns, Kentucky, and Johnnie Harold Strunk of Whitley City, Kentucky, daughter Flora Joan King of Pine Knot, Kentucky, brother Harold Sammons and wife Phyllis of Stearns, Kentucky, and sisters Katie Shirley (Sammons) Jarrett and husband Hugh of St. Albans, West Virginia, and Madie Parriman of Revelo, Kentucky.  27 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren also survive.
