Morris Perkins

Morris Perkins, age 74 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died April 14, 2017 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born October 9, 1942 in Stearns, Kentucky to Marion Rufus and Lydia Florence (Black) Perkins. Morris was a retired machinist.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cleada (Messer) Perkins; step son, Tony Kidd; and sister, Margaret Sue Bryant and Ruth Fay Perkins.

Survivors include his step son Roy Kidd and wife, Barbara of Ohio; step daughters, Cathy Hammonds of Ohio and Rita Hardin and husband, Jim of Alabama; brother, Bobby Wendell Perkins and wife, Elaine of Elaine; sisters, Judy Anderson of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Patsy Perkins of Revelo, Kentucky, and Brenda Gilreath and husband, Leslie of Revelo, Kentucky; special step grandchild, Heather Breeze and numerous other step grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 at 6pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Cyrus Byrd officiating. Burial to follow in the Stearns Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 4pm Monday, April 17, 2017 at the funeral home.
