Mittie Chestina Broach

Mittie Chestina Broach, age 90 years, of Strunk, Kentucky died Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the Williamsburg Health and Rehab in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

She was born in the Mount Pleasant Community of Strunk, Kentucky on October 4, 1933 the daughter of Murray R. and Myrtie (Spradlin) Wilson. Mittie had been a homemaker and member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Going to the Senior Citizens, Dollywood, the beach, Relay For Life, Pow Wows, and listening to bluegrass music were her favorite things to do.

Her parents; husband, Fred Wilt Troxell and Leslie Ray Broach; sons, Johnny Wayne Troxell and Marshall Wade Troxell; brothers, Murton Wilson, Merrell Wilson, Mitchell Wilson, Murvin Wilson, Marshall Wilson, and Lloyd Wilson; and sisters, Macie Stephens and Cordelia Foster precede her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Willis Troxell and wife, Deanna of Strunk, Kentucky, Denzil Troxell of Strunk, Kentucky, and Barry Troxell and wife, Pat of Pine Knot, Kentucky; daughters, Phyllis Inman and Ron of Strunk, Kentucky and Kathy Taylor and husband, Bill of Whitley City, Kentucky; sister, Milicia Wilson of Pine Knot, Kentucky; grandchildren, Anthony Joseph, Sherri Cox, Misty Strunk, Brandy Rowe, Johnny Wayne Troxell, Holly Daugherty, Natasha Troxell, Chelsea Troxell, and Marcus Troxell; and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Monday, February 26, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Timothy Corder officiating. Burial to follow in the Silerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Monday at the Funeral Home.
