Millie Ann Mason

Millie Ann Mason, of Whitley City, Kentucky, passed from this life on Monday, January 26, 2015, at the Pioneer Community Hospital in Oneida, Tennessee.  She was 51 years, 6 months and 22 days old.

Millie was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and was also a good nurse.  She liked to crochet and sew and do crafts.  She had attained an Associates in Business Degree with the Somerset Community College and had made the Dean’s list. Bingo was her favorite pastime. 

She was born July 4, 1963, in Oneida, Tennessee, to Donald J. and Gloria (Phillips) Jones.  She is preceded in death by her father and two brothers; Danny Joe Jones and Tommy Jones.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, David Loren Mason of Marshes Siding whom she married June 26, 1982, her mother Gloria Jones of Marshes Siding, Kentucky  daughters; Terri Lee Mason (and Danny Pierce) of Marshes Siding and Carri Mason (and Shawn Spradlin) of Pine Knot, and brothers; Jeffrey Jones (wife Elaine) of Revelo, Kentucky, and Tim Jones (wife Paula) of Marshes Siding.  Her grandchildren are Jarrod and Nathen Pierce and Brooklyn and Devin Spradlin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Hurstle Daugherty officiating.  She will be laid to rest at the McCreary Memorial Gardens in Whitley City.  Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
