Mildred Daugherty

Mildred Daugherty, age 82 years, of Pine Knot Kentucky, wife of the late Ray Mitchell Daugherty, died Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky.

She was born in Bald Knob, Kentucky on October 2, 1939 the daughter of the late Fred and Flossie Waters Spradlin. She was a seamstress, employed at May & Company Mattress, and a member of Ross Grove United Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and quilting, but her favorite was being surrounded by her family.
Her parents, Fred and Flossie Spradlin; son, Gary “Jody” Daugherty; brothers, Elmon, Bob and Inman Spradlin; sisters, Dorothy Musgrove, Ora Bowman and Judy Spradlin preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Donald Daugherty and wife Peggy of Pine Knot, Georgia Troxell and husband Alan of Revelo, Ronnie Daugherty and wife Mia of Strunk, Larry Daugherty of Pine Knot, brothers, Tod Spradlin of Pine Knot, Lowell Buster Spradlin of Strunk; sisters, Flora Cox of Revelo, Janice Ross and husband Jimmy of Strunk; grandchildren, Skylar Daugherty Chocklett, Nikki Daugherty and husband, Shawn, Holly Troxell, Lendsey Daugherty, Chase Daugherty and Sydney Daugherty; great grandchildren, Mason and Raegan Daugherty, Nolan and Ethan Walters.

Funeral services are Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am until time for services.
Brother Braxton King is officiating and burial will follow in Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery.
