Mila Halstine Smith, age 74 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died Thursday, May 9, 2024 at her home.

She was born in Jellico, Tennessee on April 8, 1950 the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lettie (Perry) Spradlin. Mila had worked in Housekeeping at the Cumberland Falls State Park and was a member of the Sawyer Missionary Baptist Church.

Her parents; son, Bobby Lawrence Smith; brothers, General Lee Spradlin, Estel Ray Spradlin, and Donald Perry; and sisters, Ester Ellen Goodin, Willa Mae Perry, and Minnie Pearl Spradlin precede her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Smith of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; son, Charles Smith (Julie) of Stearns, Kentucky; daughters, Loretta Ridener (Douglas) and Teresa Higginbotham (John) both of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Sawyer Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. John Goodin and Bro. Ray Sumner officiating. Burial to follow in the Marlar Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Saturday at the Church.

McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
