Melissa Walker Tucker, age 97 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died March 16, 2013 in McCreary Health and Rehab in Pine Knot, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 12pm in the Walkerâs Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Coffey and Rev. Darrin Kidd officiating. Burial was in the Neeleyâs Creek Cemetery.
She was born in Bauer, Kentucky on March 12, 1916 the daughter of the late Prince and Ethel (Linville) Richardson. She was a member of Walkerâs Chapel Baptist Church and had run a Pulp Yard.
Her parents; husband, Clyde Tucker, two step-sons, Melvin Tucker and Larry Tucker, three brothers, Mitt Richardson, John Richardson, and Harvey Richardson, and three sisters, Margaret Burton, Gola Richardson and Mary Richardson, precede her in death.
Survivors include her step-children CJ Tucker, and wife Patsy, Somerset, Kentucky, Roger Tucker and wife Linda, Whitley City, Kentucky; Willard Tucker and wife Cathy of Somerset, Kentucky, Ricky Tucker and wife Shanda of Strunk, Kentucky; Judy Ball and husband Bennie of Whitley City, Kentucky, Eddie Tucker of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Janice Jones and husband David of Whitley City, Kentucky, Kathy Carson and husband Howard of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, one brother, Preston Richardson of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, two sisters, Lula Marlow and Maggie Souleyrette both of Boyle Co., Kentucky and 26 step grandchildren and numerous step great and great-great grandchildren.
