Melisa "Lisa" Gail Parriman

Melisa “Lisa” Gail Parriman, age 53 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died August 10, 2020 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Grant County, Kentucky on February 6, 1967 the daughter of Robert and Zelphia “Irene” (Perry) Brooks. Lisa had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Somerset Nursing and Rehab, was a member of the Zion Baptist Church, enjoyed crocheting, reading, puzzles, adult coloring books, and flea marketing. Her greatest joy in her life was her family above all else.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pamela Brooks; and many aunts and uncles.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Parriman of Whitley City; sons; Robert Gibson and wife, Brandi of Pine Knot, and Donald Jacob Parriman and wife, Chelsea of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter, Kayla Parriman of Whitley City; brother, Robert A Brooks and wife, Frances, of Science Hill, their children, Josh, Amanda, Avery, Alice, and Andrea; sister, Danita Coffey and husband, James of Richmond, their children, Jessica, Nakeesha, and Destiny; grandchildren, Emily Crabtree, Zander Terry, Isaac Parriman, and Kade Parriman; nephews and niece, Patrick Parriman, Richard Parriman and wife Melissa, and Alexis Jones and husband, James all of Whitley City; aunts, Ethel Sargent of Harrison, Ohio, Idella Loudermilk of Pine Knot, and Mary Connlley of Crittenden, Kentucky; uncle, Thomas Brooks of Crittenden; cousin, Jay Bryant and wife, Carolyn of Parkers Lake; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday, August 14, 2020 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Clay Cook and Bro. Rufus Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryant Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the funeral home.
