Maxine E. Adkins, age 75 years, of Cincinnati, Ohio formerly of Strunk, Kentucky died July 11, 2011 at the Anderson Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Funeral services were held Saturday July 16, 2011 at 4pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. David West officiating. Burial was in the Hill Cemetery.
She was born in Strunk, Kentucky on October 15, 1935 the daughter of the late William F. and Bessie (Hill) West. She was a tube tester for RCA and a member of the Landmark Baptist Church.
Her parents, 1 infant brother, and brothers Millard West and LD West precede her in death.
Survivors include her husband Reuben Adkins of Cincinnati, Ohio, daughters Sheilah Sacco and Thressa Gambrell both of Fairfield, Ohio, brothers Jerry West of Strunk, Kentucky, James West Pine Knot, Kentucky, William West of Phoenix, Arizona, Charles West of Russell Springs, Kentucky, and Wayne West of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, sisters Beulah Walker of Pine Knot, Kentucky and Wilma King of Oneida, Tennessee. 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive.
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
