Margaret Magdlene Taylor Murphy, age 85 years, of Somerset Kentucky died November 12, 2011 at the Somerwoods Nursing and Rehab. Funeral services were held Tuesday November 15, 2011 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Crabtree officaiting. Burial was in the Higginbotham Cemetery.
She was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on May 12, 1926 the daughter of the late Alvin Avery and Leatha Jane (Perry) Taylor. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of The Living God.
Her parents, husband Cleve Murphy, son Michael Wayne Murphy, brother Lloyd Taylor, and half brother Boyd Taylor, sisters Lois Powell and Irene Phillips, and half sisters Ocie Taylor, Elsie Mae Taylor Vanover, and Sarah Taylor Vanover precede her in death.
Survivors include her daughter Margaret Brown of Colorado, step sons Danny and Cleve Jr. Murphy, step daughters Darlene, Connie, Sheila and Tandra Murphy, brother Floyd Taylor of Muncie, Indiana, and 9 grandchildren also survive.
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
