Macie E. Neal, age 89 years, of Marshes Siding, Kentucky died June 17, 2013 at her home. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Sewell and Bro. Lenville Maxwell officiating. Burial was in the Seed Tick Cemetery.
She was born in Hazard, Kentucky on June 3, 1924 the daughter of the late Sam and Annie (Cook) Vanover. She was a homemaker and member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church.
Her parents; husband, Estil Neal; sons, David Neal, Calvin Neal, and Jr. Neal; daughter, Brenda Neal; brothers, Clinton Vanover, Glen Vanover, and Herbert Vanover; sisters, Christeen Stephens, Goldie Hammock, and Bertie Smith; and 1 great grandchild precede her in death.
Survivors include her children, Clarence Neal and wife, Georgia of Bethel, Ohio, Hershal Neal and wife, Martha of Nashville, Tennessee, Jean Barnett and husband, Delmer of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, Alvin Neal and wife, Brenda of Somerset, Kentucky Shirley Sizemore of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Jerry Neal and, Wilma of Marshes Siding, Kentucky; and brother, Lindon Vanover of Whitley City, Kentucky. 17 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren also survive.
