Lorene G. Stephens

Lorene G. Stephens, age 81 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Fonde, Kentucky on December 16, 1938 the daughter of Luther and Annetta (Engle) Gibson. Lorene was a homemaker, member of the Riverside Church of God Mountain Assembly, loved attending church praising the Lord, bird watching, and UK Basketball.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lonnie Brown Stephens; son, Dennis Eugene Stephens; brothers, Harold Gibson and Clay Gibson; and sisters, Verde Sue Gibson and Joyce Gibson.

Survivors include her sons, Lonnie Dale Stephens of Pine Knot and Larry Wayne Stephens of Whitley City; daughters, LaRhonda Sue Crabtree and husband, Chris of Revelo and Lanetta Ann Crabtree and husband, Randy of Pine Knot; brother, Merle Gibson and wife Betty of Michigan; sisters, Agatha Costella of South Carolina and Thelma Thompson of Sidney, Ohio; grandson, Christopher Lee Crabtree and wife, Kathrine; and great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Crabtree.

The family wants to send a special Thank You to the Lifeline Nurses, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, and Hospice of Lake Cumberland for being so kind and attentive to their Mother.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday, October 31, 2020 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Halcomb officiating. Burial will follow in the Higginbotham Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Friday, October 30, 2020 at the funeral home.
